Silverfish do not make the cute list of insect. Infect they are ugly and get often confused with the venomous centipede. The good is this. They are not know to bite humans. And, they don’t carry any form of disease known to man or woman. When you see Silverfish they are usually in corners of bathrooms near the master bed room or in basement areas. They really hide in the day and forage at night.
Although Silverfish are harmless to the human body, they do cause destruction to clothing, books, papers, food in pantries and wallpaper. If you have expensive clothing you probably better store it in a cedar closet. Silverfish leave small holes in materials they bite and may also cause yellow staining. Look for their presence in dark and damp locations such as bathrooms, under sinks and in garages. They tend to dwell in clothing and linen piles or plumbing.
